How can a hair clog be desolved in a bathroom sink?

Remove the plunger by loosening the actuator rod at the back of the drain and replace actuator rod so it does not leak, then using toilet paper folded up, plug the overflow and simply fill lavatory with water and plunger it to 'gargle' the pipes. This dislodges hair and crud and the cold water simply carries it away in clumps. Then clean off the plunger and replace. Don't forget to sanitize the lavatory bowl.

Last time, I used a hanger that I straighten and I did a little hook (very little) at one end. Plunged it in and pull. Watch for large amount of hair that cannot fit through the hole, in this case, try to remove some.

By the way, it really stinks, be prepared mentally!

You could try my home brew cure. Mix 1/2 cup of table salt with a 1/2 cup of baking soda and dump in the drain. Now add a cup of vinegar and watch the action, allow to sit over night and flush with a bucket of very hot water.
