I am installing black pipe for a gas heater in my garage. At this point everything is roughed in, no installation on sheetrock. Because of the way it is build I would like to install black pipe across the back of the garage approximately 40 ft. How do I get 10 foot sections into the wall studs that are 16 in centers.
Thank you

You notch the studs to accommodate the pipe and cover the notches with nail plates. Good luck, Tom

When feasible (meaning no siding or Tyvek house wrap has been installed yet), I drill a hole through the side of the house or garage and feed the line through from the outside.
If it isn't feasible, I generally opt for a ductile gas piping material like Trac-Pipe or Gas-Tight.
