I am adding a extra room in my house and the area I am putting it the room has new tile on it and I want to know how can I go about putting up the wall without putting the nail in the tile? I will be in6 months to a year making the room bigger. I just bought this house

You could glue it down. But first, are you asking because you don't want to permentantly damage the tile (ie: temporary wall) ?

Ceramic tile?

It can be cut and the new wall placed at the right spot( for permanent applications)

If you apply on top you'll risk damaging the tiles(IF ceramics) with the weight of even a temporary wall.

Let us know if this helps,

I would set the bottom plate where it needs to go and then use a hammer drill to fasten tapcom screws through the bottom plate into the tile floor. Also to make it easier try and drill into the joint of the tile

Use 3" screws instead of nails. Screw them into pre drill holes in grout lines.
