I am looking for the title of a horror movie about an evil gnome. This gnome lived in a vent in an old house and would talk to the lady of the house. He seemed to be brainwashing her. I believe there were kids in the movie too and it was probably made in the 70s or 80s. Can anyone help?

Definitely not- this is old from the 60s or 70s. B movie-ish

I remember a movie similar to that, though it didn't talk to the woman. The gnome would wait until her little girl was sleeping and then try to steal her life energy from her breath. In the end he gets kicked into a fan and torn apart. Does this ring a bell?

The gnome that gets thrown into the fan is in The Cat's eye movie and the little girl was drew barrymore. Definitely not the one you seem to be looking for. I am looking for a similar one... might even be the same one about a whole garden of evil gnomes that starts growing in this apartment building... I think there was an evil lady or witch who was turning everyone into trolls... gnomes or elves... who know...
