A couple of days ago - I was working on my fingernails / mainly removing the cuticles. Yesterday, I noticed that one of my fingers seemed to be slightly swollen. Since then the area (one side) of the nail has become painful and seems to be turning an extremely light shade of green. What should I do? HELP!!

Sounds like you got a little infection, were you using santized clippers and tools to remove the cuticles? If so, that could be the cause. I get that sometimes too... you might see some pus soon... ew, I know... just rub it with some peroxide, put some neosporin on that owwie, and slap a bandaid on it. When you have an owwie on your hands, it's always best to use neosporin and a bandaid because your hands come in contact with A lot of germs, and can get easily infected... good luck.

If your finger is swollen and your nail is turning green, then I think you should have it checked out by a doctor as soon as possible. You have an infection, and it will get worse if it's not treated.
