First off, the phrase is "exsponged" (meaning to remove from your record).
Depending on the crime (misdemeanor or felony) it's possible to have it removed from your criminal record. If you are a minor (under age 18) and you have no other items on your record, you may petition the courts to have this removed upon turning 18. If you have a lengthy criminal record and are under 18 you may have difficulty persuading a judge to exsponge your record.
If you are over 18 and it is a misdemeanor it will drop off your record in a number of years depending on what state you live in. If it is a felony - it may be permanent (also depending upon the state).
Good luck!
