View Full Version : Are we not over our EX's if we keep logging onto this site everyday?

It's just a general question to everyone really. Do people have a read on here to cure their broken heart when they are feeling down, by reading the useful stickies and similar stories? Or do people come on here looking for ways to get their ex back when they are in a desperate situation and can't get over the fact that their ex doesn't want anything to do with them anymore.

Does logging onto this site every day while I'm at work mean that I can't fully get over my ex?

I log on here for many reasons...

For one, I want to try and help in any way I can, I am so grateful to everyone who helped me in the beginning and I just want to pay it forward.

For two, seeing how over time that heartbroken people do actually get better... That gives me hope for the future.

For three, I'm not personally completely over my ex so I suppose I keep coming back here to help further my healing by posting my feelings ( and or ) trying to help others.

I agree with the above pose ^.^ I log on to help people and I have several questions about different things in my life that I need help with. Not everyone is on here for relationships. I got a post asking anyone to help me with my anniversery surprise for my boyfriend, and one asking how I copy right my music. Not everything is relationships on here ^.~ we eve have a plumbing section for questions! Lol :P

Honestly? My ex dumped me less than 3 weeks ago, so I'm trying to figure out if things will get better. Oddly things seem to be getting worse...

I feel more comfortable after checking this site again. If I go a few days without it I start feeling really down, but coming back reminds me that I'm on a path where the end goal is to be completely over my ex. Its almost like my comfort zone now. Im about to him the 4 month mark next week, but I think once I get through christmas and my birthday things will really start looking up. Until then, I love this place.

There are useful threads about break-ups and how to survive a break-up.

I think posting and then coming back is a good therapy. You get feedback, some insight, and can gain perspective. You also realize that you are not the first this happened to. Important when you are going through a painful break-up.

I agree with shy... I think it is all reasons mentioned... whatever works for who.
Sharing your problems with others can be a help and you can learn from all of it and even the people replying can learn... so it can be a sharing, growing and learning thing... but I see some who come here with the same questions... don't like the advise. So they end up most likely learning the hard way.
