I was asked this question for class I will give you what I got but not sure this is what the answer is.

The Question:

When you buy new software packs, why does it state the minimum RAM and hard drive space your computer must have for you to run this program.

My Answer:

Because you need to know how much space is required in order for the software to run the way it should.

Also a question that I am having trouble researching is:

If your computer does not have RAM, what types of files will you be unable to open and Why? If someone knows where I can get this answer please help me

You won't be able to do anything as the machine will NOT boot.
