Okay, so I remember this movie from my childhood (which wasn't that long ago, I think I watched it during the 90's) and I have remembered the following details:

The movie's main character (or at least a major character) was a car. I believe he was yellow, and I think he used his wheels for hands. At one point in the movie, he was severely damaged for some reason, and was about to be pounded into a tiny metal cube at the junkyard, but he was somehow miraculously saved.

I have searched extensively on Google using every search term I could think of, and the closest I've come is an (arabian?) cartoon that I believe is called "Bomboo". The car stirs up a lot of memories, but I'm certain this isn't the right one because we certainly watched the movie in English.

Anyway, I remember one part in particular (perhaps near the end?) where there was a young child (I think it was a boy) that was trapped in a collapsing canyon (an earthquake, perhaps?), and no one could get him out. To stall for time while they came up with a way to save the boy, the little car defied physics by using a large log and the torque from his engine to hold the chasm open and keep the boy from being trapped.

I seem to remember several other mishaps including a gas shortage, and something having to do with a plant that they needed to get for some reason. But maybe these were from other movies I saw as a child, I'm not sure about those. There may also have been a baby octopus that squirted ink.

That's the best I can do... Please help!

**EDIT: I just remembered, the reason they needed the plant was to save the kid in the canyon. When the yellow car smelled flowers, he got stronger, much like Popeye and his spinach. When he smelled the flowers, which I believe were the last ones in town, and the people had to like race up the mountain or whatever to get them, he was able to force the canyon open so they could save the kid... Who, by the way, might have been drowning at the bottom of this canyon. Anyway... That's all I have. Again, please help!
