No, you shouldn't be worried. Do as your doctor tells you and you should be fine.

Nov 26, 2007, 01:42 PM
When I was 7 weeks along, I started cramping and then spotting. My husband and I were put on "restriction" for the rest of the 1st trimester. It was explained to me like this - everything is swollen down there - more than likely a blood vessel was broken during intercourse. She said that we needed to lubricate a lot when we finally were able to have sex again.

Hiya I'm shelley when I was about 8weeks pregnant I was getting cramps with spots of blood sometimes a brown colored liquid not very nice I know!
I was told to have plenty of rest take, take things easy and not have any sexual intercourse until everything had settled and I felt OK also drink plenty of water and a reasonable diet.
I'm now 30weeks pregnant with my baby boy and he's doing just fine :) xxxx
Good luck hun all the best try not to worry too much xx

I was told that I am 8 weeks 5 days but I went for the ultra sound and they said I was still really early! My doctor told me that my due date is July 12 2008!! (LMP was oct 5 ,2007) can someone tell me how far along I might be!! I'm not able to go to another ultra sound for another couple of weeks if someone is due around the time I am!! Please help me if you are due around the time that I am due so that I can estimate how far along I am because this is driving me crazy!

Dec 4, 2007, 01:32 PM
Please if anyone can help me!! I realli need to no!!

Dec 4, 2007, 02:22 PM
Please be patient hun, I just got home from class studying for finals when you posted your question. All of us here are either students or mothers and do this on our own free time.

According to Nagele's Rule, your due date is indeed July 12, 2008. You see to calculate that you take the first day of your last period and subtract 3 months, add 7 days, add one year.

That would actually put you around 6 weeks as ovulation typically occurs 14 days after the first day of your last period if you have a 28 day cycle.

melissa1
Dec 4, 2007, 05:15 PM
Well my baby is due the 1st July I am 10weeks today!!

melissa1
Dec 4, 2007, 05:16 PM
So this would make you 8weeks 3days going from your lmp

nauticalstar420
Dec 4, 2007, 05:18 PM
so this would make you 8weeks 3days going from your lmp

Keep in mind that your due date is just an estimate. The baby will come whenever it is ready, due date or no due date. :)

J_9
Dec 4, 2007, 05:20 PM
so this would make you 8weeks 3days going from your lmp

This is where we differ. Her LMP was 8 weeks ago tomorrow and pregnancy typically occurs during ovulation which is around 14 days after the LMP (for a 28 day cycle), so she could be around 6 weeks. Very few people actually get pregnant while on their period.

(LMP was oct 5 ,2007)

melissa1
Dec 4, 2007, 05:22 PM
Yeah I no this my midwife and doctor and everyone else in the uk go by your lmp not when you ovulated that's why pregnancy is 40weeks not 38weeks

melissa1
Dec 4, 2007, 05:24 PM
Her last period was 8weeks 4 days ago

J_9
Dec 4, 2007, 05:28 PM
Oh, yeah, I see what you are saying, and I agree, but above she said that she was "still really early" so I gave her the possibility of exactly how old the baby may be, or when she actually conceived.

melissa1
Dec 4, 2007, 05:30 PM
If you go onto Google or something and put in pregnancy calendar and put your lmp date in it will come up with how far along you are it says 8weeks 5 days pregnant and 6weeks 5days gestation but here in england your pregnancy would still be said to be at 8weeks 5days today

J_9
Dec 4, 2007, 05:32 PM
I'm not going to argue with you, as a nursing student about to take my neonatal exams, I learned it a little differently.

All I was saying was when CONCEPTION occurred.

melissa1
Dec 4, 2007, 05:35 PM
I wasn't arguing either if you go back you will see I rated your answer!
I didn't even mention conception I was going by her lmp and checked on a calendar that's all!!

J_9
Dec 4, 2007, 05:43 PM
Maybe we are just not understanding each other. I just mentioned because she is "really early" that baby may be small and that if using the 14 day rule, conception occurred at or around October 19, which would make the fetus only approx 6 weeks along.

Please excuse my quick answers, I am answering and studying for finals. LOL... Back to studying.

melissa1
Dec 4, 2007, 05:45 PM
No probs xx
Enjoy studying

mustang0529
Dec 5, 2007, 06:07 PM
Thank you all very much!! Now I understand but what would be my answer to tell people that I am 6 weeks 5 days or 8 weeks 5 days?

Dec 6, 2007, 09:37 AM
If this worries you I would call the doctor and ask them why they need to see you. It could be a number of things or it could be nothing at all. Are you sure it has to do with the ultrasound and not the blood work? If it has to do with the ultrasound I would think that they would have caught or seen something at the time to ultrasound was taken and not 2 weeks later. If it is because of the blood work that would make more sense. Maybe your progesterone isn't at the level it should be. I am not sure what it could be. I would suggest calling your doctor and expressing your concern. You have a right to know.

mustang0529
Dec 6, 2007, 10:29 AM
The thing is there not aloud to give any info about it all they told me it was about was the ultrasound!! I'm going in tomorrow to go c the doctor!! I hope there's nothing wrong!

Dec 6, 2007, 10:35 AM

Dec 6, 2007, 12:10 PM
It could be something as simple as staffing issues.

I work in a doctors office... sometimes the doctor or nurse has to leave early or has the day off and we'll call our patients to try and get them in sooner. With the holidays coming, they probably have a lot of people on vacation and they just want to get you in sooner rather than make you wait.

Try to relax, the stress won't help. ;)

leti1980
Dec 6, 2007, 12:23 PM
Are you sure they just wanted to change the date of your appointment because they could not get you in on the original date? Or did they say we need to talk about your scan?
I would have thought they would have talked when you had the scan if there was a problem.

mustang0529
Dec 6, 2007, 02:56 PM
Well when I went for the scan it wasn't with my family doctor the results were faxed over to him!! Well I was suppose to c him on the 15th but they said no no we need to c u earlier
!!

leti1980
Dec 6, 2007, 03:01 PM
Try not to worry yourself too much I would have thought if there was something serious wrong like miscarage they would have to tell you there. Are you from the uk

mustang0529
Dec 6, 2007, 03:05 PM
Maybe it might be that they had to rescedule but why wouldn't they just tell me that instead of scaring me!! Well I find out tomorrow I just pray that the baby comes back healthy that's all I care about!! The thing is a couple weeks ago I was bleeding and cramping and it went away but I'm thinking if it were to have been a miscarriage they would have found it because around that time I was having blood work done!! I just wish they would have been more specific so that I wouldn't be so worried all the time but now that I think about I should be fine I'm having all the symptoms there all normal morning sickness breast tenderness... tired all the time! Peeing frequently!! And so on!! I just need some people who have been in the same boat as me!! If this has happened to anyone please try to help me out a bit more... like if anyone had a call from there doctor to come in earlier then there actual appointment!! If anyone has been threw the same please help me out some more!! I would greatly apriciate it!!

I was 6 weeks I am now 4 1/2 months baby is doing well sometimes they just don't see it,I know it is hard but try to relax put your feet up and have a chill out time I know I went crazy thinking I lost my baby... but usually it don't show until your 5-6.5 weeks I was just 6 weeks when I had my internal done and they just didn't see it I would bet that you are just really earlie I knew I was pregnant 3 days after conceving I thought I was like 8-9weeks so they did an ultrasound and found nothing but my hormones were saying OK she pregnant so they kept doing them till they finnaly saw her at 6 weeks ( I found out it's a girl on my last ultrasound) anyway if the doc didn't say anything is wrong their probably isnot anything to worry about sorry about my typing my soon to be 2 year old is on my lap hard to type.

I think you mean fetal POLE. LOL, I had that mistaken until this semester.

Hun, can you remind me how far along you are?

mustang0529
Dec 7, 2007, 12:14 PM
Its OK thank you very much they told me that when I went for the ultrasound the baby would be 4 weeks and that was last Thursday that I went!! So by the time I do my next ultrasound I will be about 6 weeks!! So I think everything works out!! It realli helps me out noing that people went threw the same thing and there baby is healthy thank you very much I really really needed it!!

connie-mom
Dec 7, 2007, 12:15 PM
Fetal pole or pulse are both better detected at 5-6.5 weeks I figured she meant pole but she don't know how far along she is she said that in her first post.

Dec 7, 2007, 12:21 PM
No problem... I hope everything goes OK from now till delivery... this is your first right? If it is please keep in mind the more streesed out you are the more stressed out the baby will be... and meny things can happen during the pregnancey but always keep calm and always keep in mind the doctors should tell you if they think something is wrong... I had massive bleeding during my second pregnancy and I had my menstral cycle for the first 4 months I was pregnant with my first child and with my third I had both my menstral cycle and a lot of bleeding but all kids are fine healthy and lived some times strange things happen but to keep calm put your feet up and relax can help out a lot and just to let you know to get a dula to help out with the stresses of being pregnant would probbly help you out a lot I have a dula and she is wonderful I have had the same ione for the last 3 pregnancy's we love her dearly I wish you all the luck.

Dec 7, 2007, 12:22 PM
Yha way to earlie to tell most times they won't even try till you are at least 6.5 weeks and congrats!!

J_9
Dec 7, 2007, 12:25 PM
Connie is absolutely correct.

You see, the fetal pole is usually detected at six and a half weeks with abdominal ultrasound and six weeks with transvaginal ultrasound.

Now, don't panic, because it is not uncommon for it not to be seen until 8 weeks with some fetuses.

Did I see that they did bloodwork to determine your hCG levels?

connie-mom
Dec 7, 2007, 01:40 PM
I wish you lots of luck in your endevers to mother hood I know I love my kids very much and would never give them up for anything in the world... and again try looking for a dula in your area they are very nice to have around during stressful times and they can come with you to doctors app to make things more clear and they can help ask question you would never think of... I know with out mine I would have gone crazy during my second and third delivery wich both were very trying... they also help with exercises that help open your pelvic bone and keep you moving normaly(back don't hurt as much, hips don't hurt so much and it helps mentally to have someone there to just be your friend and shoulder to lean on) but before you do.. duh on my part!. make sure dulas are permited in the hospital I know where I am my dula was not allowed at first but after telling the nurses and doctors she was my comfort friend they let her stay most times dulas and midwives are considered a pain in hospitals because they will go by what you tell them you don't want drugs they don't give drugs as where a doctor will give you drugs anyway. (based on my own experance some others may have a difference of oppinion) any way I hope you can have a dula they are great!! Ten thumbs up for them.

mustang0529
Dec 7, 2007, 01:56 PM
Yah I have been reading a lot about it!! I just think I am really early and my dates are messed up!! And I took blood work for my (HCG levels today) I call him tomorrow to find out if they have gone up!! And I go for another testing on Monday to c the comparison and then I will go for my ulrasound next Thursday which will make me 6 weeks!!

mustang0529
Dec 7, 2007, 05:44 PM

6.5-8 weeks

mustang0529
Dec 7, 2007, 05:50 PM

Dec 7, 2007, 06:04 PM
Do you know what a fetal pole is? Just wondering if you do.its not a big deal if you don't see it right away your best bet to set your mind at ease is to do some research on it.. makes a difference

Dec 7, 2007, 07:18 PM
I would say if doc said that you will be 5 weeks now then it was deffinitly to earlie I know I didn't show until I was almost 7-8 weeks and even if it don't you can take some meds to increase it and baby can still be fine but my sugestion is to put your feet up don't over do yourself let you house work go for a bit and chill sleep often it will help you out... oh and arguing with bullheaded people on here won't help you it can be very stress full and being in your state you really don't need it ignore them make your point and just try to stay happy and relax try some soothing music too it has helps me out, any way I hope everything turns out and go relax take a warm bath put your feet up eat some warm soup have a tea read a book relax!! It's the best thing for you at this point you are not in the clear till 3-4months so let loose relax breath and take care.

confusedmomof2
Dec 9, 2007, 07:51 AM
Which is it I'm confused! You just said in the above response that it might be just to reschedule but before you said that it was about the ultrasound! Which is it? And if it was about the ultra sound then maybe they needed to redo a certain part of it, or you might have a cyst or it could be anything if it was MAJOR they would have made you come in that day!(and unless those people were completely unprofessional and unexp. Then they would have told you if something was wrong, they have to!)

mustang0529
Dec 9, 2007, 05:48 PM

Can someone please help me!! I am really scared because I had a miscarriage this year in July!!

Alty
Dec 9, 2007, 11:20 PM
I almost don't want to answer this because I don't want to scare you, but it sounds like you are going to miscarry again. Please go to the doctor asap and get an ultrasound done. In some cases it could be that you are just spotting and this is normal for you, some women even have their periods while pregnant, but if you are having cramping as well that doesn't sound good to me. I had a miscarriage with my third pregnancy 2 years ago, it started with very light spotting, I went to the doctor and he listened for the heart beat because I was already 12 weeks along, but he couldn't hear it. He scheduled an ultrasound but they couldn't get me in for 3 days, the day of the ultrasound I started bleeding heavily and cramping badly, I went anyway and wasn't surprised to hear that my baby had died 2 weeks before. I ended up hemorraghing that night and had to be rushed to the hospital for an emergency D and C. Please see your doctor right away, until you get an appointment take it easy, rest and don't exert yourself. If you start bleeding heavily then get to the hospital immediately, don't take any chances. I wish you the best of luck, I hope that everything works our for you, you are in my prayers.

mustang0529
Dec 9, 2007, 11:53 PM
Well a lot of people tell me that some people bleed lightly when there pregnant and have cramps there not bad at all and the bleeding is very light and it doesn't last long I took blood work on Friday! They would have told me already if I was misscarrying!!

mustang0529
Dec 9, 2007, 11:55 PM
To find out if my hcg levels have been going up or not!! And I go for another ultra sound on Thursday! Wish me luck!

Alty
Dec 10, 2007, 12:07 AM
I'm sorry if I upset you, I was only telling you what I've experienced, I'm not an expert, just a mom and a woman who has experienced a very horrific miscarriage. I have heard about people who spot throughout their entire pregnancy and have absolutely no problems. Some women even continue to get their periods regularly while pregnant. I certainly hope that everything goes well with your pregnancy, you obviously want this baby very much, I wish you the best of luck.

I am pregnant right now.. I also don't want to scare you but I don't know who told you some people have light bleeding.. you shouldn't.. I would go to the doctors as soon as you can pick the phone up and make an Apt.

AngelEyes2885
Dec 10, 2007, 06:07 AM
I would get to the doctors as soon as you can, today would be best... even if some people do spot.. if you are cramping as well I wouldn't wait till Thursday! I am 16wks right now and I would be at the hospital ASAP. Not trying to scare you but to keep your mind at ease... see the doc.

macksmom
Dec 10, 2007, 07:30 AM
Some spotting and cramping is normal as early as you are in pregnancy. The cramping is usually caused by your uterus stretching. If the cramping is coupled with bright red blood, this is a sign of a potential problem.

Either way, if you are concerned, only a doctor's visit is going to be able to give you an accurate diagnosis.

Dec 10, 2007, 06:08 PM
Is there a good site that I can look at that u no of??

NowWhat
Dec 10, 2007, 06:36 PM
I am not sure, to be honest. I googled HCG levels and a bunch of stuff poped up.

J_9
Dec 10, 2007, 07:43 PM
Are you sure it was 32,000? Or could it have been 3,200?

The normal hCG level for non-pregnant women is less than 5mlU/ml.

Here is the scale

Less than 1 week pregnant = 5-50
2 weeks = 50 - 500
3 weeks 100 - 10,000
4 weeks 1,000 - 30,000
5 weeks 3,500 - 115,000
6 - 8 weeks 12,000 - 270,000
12 weeks 15,000 - 220,000

mustang0529
Dec 10, 2007, 08:36 PM
32 000

J_9
Dec 10, 2007, 08:43 PM
Okay then, it really could be a few things when your hCG level is that high at this point in your pregnancy.

You could be further along than previously thought, between 6 - 8 weeks

You could be carrying twins

Or, something very rare, called a Molar Pregnancy or Hyaditaform mole. This is so very rare, that I don't really want to consider it a possibility.

You should phone your doctor in the morning for an explanation of his/her findings.

mustang0529
Dec 10, 2007, 08:53 PM
I no there's nothing wrong with the baby all I was asking was how far along would I be if the levels were 32 000!!

J_9
Dec 10, 2007, 09:03 PM
Then, most likely you may be further along than previously thought.

mustang0529
Dec 10, 2007, 09:05 PM
Yah I guess that's what it might be!!

J_9
Dec 10, 2007, 09:06 PM
I was just a little concerned because you mentioned in another post (please forgive me if I am wrong, it's finals time at school) that the doctor did not see the fetal pole at your last ultrasound.

mustang0529
Dec 10, 2007, 09:13 PM
Yah he did!! But I went for the blood work and the baby seems to be fine!! So I go on Thursday for another u/s to c if there is a fetal pole!! I would just say that I was realli early when I went for my 1st u/s so that's the reason why I wasn't able to c the fetal pole so I'm not worring too much!!

mustang0529
Dec 10, 2007, 09:14 PM
I really don't want to put stress on the baby so I try not to worry about it!!

mustang0529
Dec 10, 2007, 09:17 PM
I'm just sort of confused with the dates and how far along I am I hured that sometimes the u/s can be of like a week or a couple of days!! But they said I was 4 to 5 weeks at the u/s which was on the 29th of November!! and now that I look at my levels it tells me I should be around 6-8 weeks!! I just wish I was so confused!! I guess a lot of people get confused about there dates I guess its to early to really find out how far along so I shouldn't worri so much as long as the baby is growing and its healthy then I should be fine and same with the baby!!

J_9
Dec 10, 2007, 10:30 PM
Some spotting and cramping is normal as early as you are in pregnancy.

It's not normal, but it is not unusual either. Spotting can be caused from placenta previa, but cramping is a sign that you need to report to your doctor as soon as possible. You have already had one miscarriage and this can be a symptom of a threatened miscarriage.

It may be nothing at all, but you need to have it checked out with your personal doctor rather than relying on the internet.

macksmom
Dec 11, 2007, 06:34 AM
Well maybe I shouldn't have used the word "normal", but it is very common to have both of these syptoms early in pregnancy, more so the cramping... and nothing be wrong. But IMO no issue should be left unquestioned to your doctor.

Again, only a doctor is going to be able to correctly diagnosis.

How to deal with stress while pregnant!?

mjl
Dec 11, 2007, 01:17 PM
The same way you would when you're not pregnant... do what ever you would to calm yourself down. Go for a walk... do a hobbie you enjoy... talk about your feelings to a friend.
I don't think dealing with stress changes much when you're pregnant.

mustang0529
Dec 11, 2007, 01:25 PM
Welll when your realli stressed out likt me I just got kicked out yesterday out of my b.f's if you c the other post for family law they called the cops but I'm with my b.f

I just read the post, but I still don't understand... yes there are things that can help with stress, but no, we can't make your problems go away.
Like I said go for a walk to get your mind off things, go be with your friends...

Do you remember when you last period was? Usually that is a good indicator of how far along you might be.

mustang0529
Dec 11, 2007, 06:32 PM
Yah I do but some how it doesn't match up with my dates I have tried that!! It would make me about 8w2d but really I'm 6w2d!!

NowWhat
Dec 11, 2007, 07:55 PM
Gestational age is usually considered to be the age of an embryo or fetus (or newborn infant) from the first day of the woman's last menstrual period. This standard system of counting the progression of pregnancy starts approximately two weeks before fertilization takes place;
The gestational age should not be confused with the fertilization age, (also called conceptional age or developmental age) of an embryo or fetus; the fertilization age is always counted from fertilization, and the gestational age is usually greater by about two weeks.

I did a little research, does this make sense to why you are 2 weeks off on your dates?

mustang0529
Dec 12, 2007, 11:19 AM
What I was told from my family doctor and what it could be because I was bleeding after I had the implantation bleeding so they think it was possible that I got pregnant but the baby it was so early and it got termanated so then I got pregnant again they said!! Because my dates realli don't match up!! So they said it could be a possibility that that could have happened!! And that's y I was bleeding at the time!!

For some reason I think it could be twins I feel big at already at 7 weeks today and I feel big!! I have been eating a lot and gaining a bit of wait but when I went for my 1st u/s it was around my 4th to 5th week of pregnancy but I couldn't c no fetal pole and there was only one sac!! I go for my next u/s tomorrow could there be a possible chance or could I have seen 2 sacs rite away? Could it be possible 2 have twins but only seen one sac so far?

mustang0529
Dec 12, 2007, 12:16 PM
Can some please help me out!! If you went threw the same thing where you found out you were having twins but they were in only one sac!! Because my last pregnancy ended in a miscarriage I was 12 weeks!! And I feel big now at 7 weeks more bigger then I felt when I was 12 weeks?? Could it be a possibility please give some helpful advise could it be??

J_9
Dec 12, 2007, 12:52 PM
Chill out a bit hun... I just got home from taking my OB and Pediatric finals. Remember, we don't work here, we do this for free in our spare time.

Now, you don't always need 2 placentas or 2 "sacs" with twins. Identical twins will carry just one placenta and one "sac"

Sometimes twins lay directly behind one another, so some times the doctor will see only one fetus.

Now, it's your hCG level that concerns me. It is quite high, which may indicate twins, or possibly a Hyaditaform Mole, or a molar pregnancy.

mustang0529
Dec 12, 2007, 12:59 PM
Thank you my doctor never gave me any bad news about the baby either then I didn't c a fetal pole at 4 an half weeks so!! Could it be a big possibillity even though there are no twins in my family!!

My aunt was expecting twins and there are no twins in both there family!! So I think that there could be a chance of maybe twins!!

J_9
Dec 12, 2007, 01:07 PM
It's always possible. Twins to HAVE to run in families.

mustang0529
Dec 12, 2007, 01:33 PM
Well they don't always have to like I said previously my aunt was having twins and there were no other people on there sides who had twins...

LearningAsIGo
Dec 12, 2007, 02:16 PM
Identical twins do not run in families --though of course several can be in one family. Identical twins result when a single egg splits in two, which is a sporatic event and not prone to genetic predisposition.

Fraternal twins can run in families because they result from two eggs being fertilized at once. Some women have a condition where more than one egg is released during ovulation, making the chance of fraternal twins higher (and genetically predisposed)

Its possible you could have twins but until there is another ultrasound you won't know. Just try to relax for now and enjoy your pregnancy.

crystalbivens
Dec 12, 2007, 05:34 PM
Are your blood levels very high?
Most women at one time or another in their pregnancy think that's it's twins, I know I did and to be honest with you those who do get pregnant with twins usually don't know until a later ultrasound.

J_9
Dec 12, 2007, 06:04 PM
Yes, crystal, her blood levels are VERY high for her gestational date. 32,000 to be exact.

crystalbivens
Dec 12, 2007, 06:18 PM
Well in that case it could be twins or even a molar pregnancy like you said.
Most likely unless your doctor does another scan you want know till a later scan.
How many weeks are you?

mustang0529
Dec 12, 2007, 08:14 PM
Well if you read the post it says I'm 7 weeks but I'm feeling more bigger then I did at 12 weeks!!

mustang0529
Dec 12, 2007, 08:16 PM
And like I had said before I know that the baby is healthy there's no problems because my doctor would have told meand he said evertything is going fine its just that my levels were high so the only thing I can think of is that it could be twins!

Dec 12, 2007, 08:40 PM
I need some help.. my doctor told me that my hcg levels were 32000 and something so how far along would that put me at does anyone no??? if u do please help!!!
o.m.g I am about 8 weeks I think I go to see someone to findout in a few days but I know nothing about this and need some help finding out some financial ways to help. Do you have any sugestions?

crystalbivens
Dec 12, 2007, 08:48 PM
Have you been able to hear the heartbeat yet, or have you had any bleeding?

mustang0529
Dec 12, 2007, 08:51 PM
Well in which way do you need financial help?

For me I just do a lot of research about the baby about everything!! That's pretty much how I have learned and threw the help of family and friend especially on here u'll find a lot of excellent help?

Is this your first?

From what I read in your post I'm going threw the same I'm also 17!! Is the father going to be there to help u? Like I was working general labour making 10.50 an hour but obviuosly I can do that anymore so I have to find something with a lower pay!! Really there's nothing really to worry about as long as you have a job you can go on maternity leave and there will give you some money but not much!! And also the government will give money but no so much!! They will give any baby who opens there eyes!! Which is called baby bonus!! If there is a father who will be there to support you and the baby then really you shouldn't have anything to worry about I have a b.f!! I'm not to worried about money especially because he makes enough money to support me him and the baby!! Without me working but I need to have money on the side just in case anything ever happens!! What I have started and maybe you should think about it!! I have a checkings account! For me and my money to go into! And also I just recently opened a savings account for the baby!! So that no matter what I will have money for when the baby is born!! It is a really good thing to think about!! So that you won't always be stressed about money like I put around 50 dollars a week... so that if I look at it when I have the baby I should have almost 2000 dollars saved up and sometimes if I make a little more money I add more into it!!

mustang0529
Dec 12, 2007, 09:06 PM
No not yet I go for my u/s tomorrow! And I have been having a little bleeind but it stopped but could that be a sign of twins if you bleed?

Like I have been bleeding but its not bad were its really red its like pink!! And it goes away... but sometimes it comes back!!

crystalbivens
Dec 12, 2007, 09:12 PM
Bleeding could happen for a number of reasons and it's not uncommon for women to bleed in the first trimester.
It doesn't indicate twins bleeding could be a cause to worry or nothing at all only your doctor could tell you.
32,000 is a very high number for you gestational age.
Being that it is so high could mean a few things and one being twins, like it was mentioned to you earlier it is also the sign of a molar pregnancy which is very very rare.
You do have signs of both.
Do you know if you have had any early signs of preeclampsia?
Such as high blood pressure or swelling?

mustang0529
Dec 12, 2007, 09:19 PM
No none of that!! I've been to c my doctor a lot doing lots of blood test I went for an u/s but it was really early the only thing they told me that was wrong was that there was no fetal pole but as I said I go for my u/s tomorrow but I was really early when I went for my other u/s so everything should be fine!! So maybe it could be twins but sometimes people think that it is a good possibility that it could be and some of them end up having just one!! But if tomorrow at the u/s it shows up one then I will just leave it as that until I am told there is to... I don't want to be all excited and it not be!! But in a way I think that it could be... there's only a 50 - 50 chance that it could be... the only way to tell as a lot of people said is threw the u/s and hcg levels increasing rapidly!! Which is increasing a lot!! I find out tomorrow how much my hcg levels go up so I will keep you posted OK! And thank you so much for the help!!

You can tell anything from 16weeks but the best time to tell is 20weeks this is why your offered a scan at 20weeks!

Yeah, of course check with your doctor and what not. Just in case you are on meds or whatever. But age-wise you should be good. :)

Jan 16, 2008, 12:46 PM
Yeah I'm a guy answering this but I'm a daddy too

If you can, do it. Its not only a bonding experience with the child, but its great for the baby physically. It kick starts their immune system. There are so many health benefits. My wife LOVED the connection she had with her baby when breastfeeding.

One thing to think about... again, funny from a guy I suppose... get an electronic breast pump. It's a life saver. It allows you to pump when you are "full" and the baby isn't ready to nurse. It was the single best thing we bought when preparing for the baby.

Any woman who has suffered through mastitis can tell you how painful it can be. Obviously, I cant... but I can tell you my wife had it once, was miserable, and then after the pump, never again.

You can freeze the milk and store a reserve... this is great when others are watching your baby or, again, baby is hungry but you aren't ready.

By an electric one. We got one that had been used but cleaned and sterilized at a local midwife clinic. Was about $200 or so. Might sound steep... but again, of all the things we bought, dollar for dollar, that kept my wife healthy and let her pump when she needed to and the baby wasn't there (at work for ex).

My 2 cents.

If you want to breastfeed, go for it! Check with your doctor to make sure, like mafiaangel180 said. Breastfeeding can be a great way to bond with your baby. Good luck and hope your pregnancy goes well! :)

There are lots of benefits to breastfeeding. :D

You may not know of a lot of teens who do it because of various reasons. Lots that I've known didn't simply because they had busy schedules (some in school) that made it difficult. It's a personal choice but your age has nothing to do with it.

I don't really know what you mean, but being underweight doesn't make the baby grow any faster if that's what you mean.

The average week of gestation to feel the baby move is 20 weeks. Every woman is different. Some women who are very tiny feel it about 18 weeks, yet others not until 25 weeks.

It is all individual. You will know when you feel that baby kick.

Being underweight does not mean you will feel it sooner, it just means that you were underweight.

I hurd differently from doctors... saying when you are underweight.. the baby has less room to grow! If you no what I mean.. compare to the women who are average size or bigger they have a harder time feeling the movements because the baby still has lots of room to grow.. now do you no what I mean?

Just because you are underweight doesn't mean you have a smaller uterus!
Just to let you know, I am also underweight, and my doctor said nothing about me being smaller if you know what I mean.
Why are you so conserened, you will feel it when you feel it.

Because when your underweight... your body only grows so much... and like me I haven't been gaining that much weight... so the baby is just getting bigger inside me.. but there is less room to grow.. then if I were to be average size or bigger!

Women who are overweight most definitely have a harder time feeling baby. And women who are underweight can feel it early. The AVERAGE is 20 weeks. That is the key word here.

If you don't feel a big kick before 20 weeks, don't freak out.

I no when your usually suppose to start kicking my question wasn't that./.. it was that I do feel movement and I have been feeling it for almost 2 weeks now... I asked how long from that point does it usually take for the baby to start kicking.. I no it usually is around 20 weeks.. but if you feel the movement and you are skinny starting is there a good chance that it can start kicking soon... that was my question...

Hun, you are already feeling the baby kicking, it's just right now it feels like a flutter more than a kick. Every day, every week will bring on new feelings, and those feelings will be stronger week by week. But every woman is different. I was small once too. With my first I felt fultterings throughout the pregnancy and with each pregnancy the flutters turned into kicks, then into full out belts in the tummy.

Again, the baby is already "kicking" It's not kicking in the sense that it is using it's feet to kick you, but that it is stretching, moving, etc.

People have been answering you. It is you who has been rude to those of us who are trying to help you. Just chilax and listen to those of us who have been there, some of us more than once or twice.

Listen there is no reason for me to be rude OK.. I don't come on here to be rude and judge people.. I help answer ppl's questions and... I like the same help back sometimes...

We weren't being rude, J_9 answered your question here:

and I answered your question by saying: "around 20 weeks (give or take)"

We are the ones that answered your question, you are the one that dragged it on.

im smaller then the average weight the baby only has certain amount of room in my belly compare to alot of others!!! now does that help

Just trying to help here, but maybe the answers haven't been clear enough for you.
Your size does not have much of an effect on when your baby kicks and if how you feel it. Your baby is growing inside your uterus. Your uterus may be smaller, it may not be. Some overweight people have a small uterus... your height and weight don't really matter. As the baby grows your uterus and other areas will grow to accommodate it.

The answer may not be what you want to here, but every woman is unique inside and out... so we can't give you an exact answer.

You feel the baby move and kick around 18-20weeks
I am nearly 17weeks and have been feeling baby move since week 14 this is my 2nd pregnancy, I am overweight so it doesn't really make any difference whether your underweight or over weight it happens when it happens

First of all, when did I call you rude?
And where did I try to prove you wrong? The only way I could prove you wrong is if you already knew the answer to your question and I'm telling you otherwise. All I did is answer your question.
