I am 25 weeks pregnant and still hardly feel the baby moving. I sometimes feel the slight flutter in my lower abdomen but haven't felt a strong kick or movement. I looked online and most websites say you should feel the baby move between 16-20 weeks and should be feeling strong movements by the sixth month (which is where I am at). Should I be concerned that I am not feeling strong movements yet?

I think you should contact your mw they may need to monitor you! Are you getting 10 movements a day? Could be where the placenta is laying! Who knows but get it checked!

I might be getting 10 movements a day, but like I said they aren't strong movements they are just slight flutter type movements. And they are always in my lower abdominal area.

Erm... sorry seems so long ago that I was at that stage! How low are you getting them below belly button?

Yes, all the movements are below my belly button. I suppose I just want the reassurance of a good kick. From what I have read I should be feeling a strong kick or movement at this time.

Below the belly button if I remember is correct because of the baby's size however if you are worried hun I would call your midwife and get seen just to be sure! Good luck!

If this is your first pregnanyc, it is still normal to not feel strong movements quite yet, esp if you have a retroverted uterus, which many women (including myself) have. Your doc would be able to tell you if you do from a simple exam.. I also suggest bringing it up to your doc at the next appt. no need in rushing in or anything. Have you consistently been getting a fetal heart rate on the doppler?

Hi I have a 10mth old daughter and when I was pregnant I went to my midwife or docs when ever I was worried about no movement and small movement.
So I would advice that you do that to be safe, but some people don't feel that much movement till 30 weeks plus and some have the whole pregnancy not knowing there pregnant at all! Try not to worry you may just have a very chilled out baby!
Good luck with everything

Yes, alkalineangel I have been getting a heartbeat on the doppler at every appointment. Of course I can't hear it as well as my doctor can but she always says that the heart beat sounds good.

Let me ask you this. Were you large or small framed before you got pregnant? Many times bigger gals don't seem to feel the movements as much as they expect to.

I was not overweight when I got pregnant. I am a small/average framed girl. I probably weighed 125-130 and I am 5'3".

You may just have a "quiet" baby. If your doctor is not concerned then don't worry your pretty little head about it. LOL
Some babies are just quiet and laid back. If your doctor is concerned he/she will prescribe a non stress test (NST), but if you haven't had one, then chances are you just have a nice calm little one.

If that is the case I hope she stays nice, quiet, and calm once she is here:)
