Me and my partner were trying for a baby for the last 4 months. Last month I spotted only the size of a quarter and then this month I was 7 days late and I took a pregnancy test. There was a light pink line under the positive. Then 6 days later I took another test and the same thing, a light pink line in the positive. I've been feeling nausea, and my breast feel different. But then on the 14th day I started to spot light pink, and then the next day it was a little red but not bad and the next day I spotted a little brownish and it was slimy.
On the 17th day I didn't have any thing. And then on the 18th day I decided to take another test. It came back negative. Am I pregnant?

There are only 3 ways to get an absolute positive

1) Fetal heart tones on a doppler
2) Fetal movements felt by doctor or nurse
3) Ultrasound

While it may be possible that you are pregnant, we cannot accurately diagnose pregnancy without a complete history and physical exam.

When was your last period? Were you due for a period when you started spotting? How old are you? And, last but not least, are you using any form of birth control whatsoever?

I hate answering questions with questions, but I need a complete picture to even begin.

Im 25 years old. Im not on any birth control. My real last period would have been September 3. last month when I spotted it was around the time of my period. But very little. Less then I ever get. This month I was 14 days late when I got it.
Usually when I have a light period the next month ill get it really hard and this time I didn't.

Have you taken a HPT? If not I would suggest you do using first morning urine.

Yes. It was a cheap one from dollar general. Would that make a deferents? When my sister was pregnant she took one from dollar general and it worked for her.

But we are all different hun, every pregnancy is different too. When did you take it? I'll tell you that with all 4 of my pregnancies I tested negative until 4 months along, then I tested positive when I should have been testing negative. You see, hCG levels tend to fall around the 14th week of pregnancy, but not for me.

Try taking another one, one that reads "pregnant" or "not pregnant" If you still get "not pregnant" make a doctor's appointment.

Ok. Thanks for all your help. I think I'm going to make a doctors appointment no matter what. I feel like I am pregnant because I just haven't been feeling good. I've been feeling sick for a good month. The doctors should be able to find out for sure right? If the hcg is low can the doctors still tell? What do the doctors do when you go in for a pregnancy test?

Well, as I have posted above there are only 3 ways to tell for certain.

However, when you go in to the doctor you want to tell them what you have been experiencing, they will take a urine specimen, maybe (hopefully) a blood test. They may (again hopefully) do a vaginal exam that would reveal (if you are pregnant) Chadwick's Sign, which is a bluish discoloration to the cervical area.
