HI Joe, In the US the last Thursday in November is always celebrated as Thanksgiving. You probably knew this though, what I meant was that I have never heard of anyone doing it any other day. Unless personal reasons, work, out of State guests arriving another day, sickness, and so on.:) :)

I just startd to hear this "black Friday" thing this year Joe. From what I heard, I think it means that this day is the first kind of "official" first day of shopping for Christmas. And because the economy is in question, this day is very important to the retailers and will set the pace for this years $$$ dollars for this season. AND when I looked over at the Christmas display... there on the shelf, about 12 " from me was at 10" statue of a Pirate Santa Claus!!! I'm trying to explain to my wife (when she finally found me) why THIS was imposrtant!! She didn't GET IT?? That's my story... Merry Christmas... I bought it..
