Hello, Every time we use our washing machine, it overflows the toilet during the rinse cycle. We have the regular sewage system and not a septic tank. How do I stop this?

Sounds like you have a partial blockage downstream of the toilet. You may pull the toilet and snake from there or go down the lavatory roof vent. If you go down the vent put out enough cable to reach the base and 20 feet more. Good luck, Tom

Snaking some drains is within the comfort zone of some home owners...

Going on the roof and snaking down the vent sounds like an area

Where professional help may save them a hospital bill... Or death!

I have worked on roofs before, but age and common sense set in

The last time I was on a roof is the last time in this lifetime

Bigsie,
Here we give options and recommendations. The roof vent is one option. Only the home owner knows if he's able to snake from the roof vent. I don't propose to impose limits on my answers. Regards, tom
