My niece informed me we're having a surprise 50th birthday party for my sis the end of this month. Her and her siblings want me to locate a ruby ring for them to all go in on as a gift. Anyone know where I could purchase one? She's very earthy and wouldn't wear just anything. It needs to be ruby set in engraved sterling and rather regal looking I spent hour on the web last night and all I could find was your usual settings-all responses will be deeply appreciated-Godiva

How about something like this?
JCPenney department (http://www.jcpenney.com/jcp/Products.aspx?DeptID=49161&CatID=49161&Grptyp=PRD&ItemId=12e7aa4)

Or this?
Sterling Silver Ruby Ring (http://www.jegem.com/1/singleProduct.aspx?SRC=nextag&URL=13&KW=SingleProduct&SKU=AJR250302&r=nextag&BAL-nextag-1)

You're right, it was a bit difficult. I'm not too sure what "earthy" is, this is my best guess :)

Oh that's great news! I'm glad to help! 50th b-day parties are always the most fun. Last one I went to was my uncles and they had a pig roast, kareoke, & "tons of fun" belly dancers! It was a blast! Happy birthday to her :D
