Hello friends,

In a PC the display goes blank all of a sudden and the system gets hanged. I have to reboot the PC through reset button. I tried changing RAM but it didn't work.

Can any one help there...

I heard on a computer talk show that it could be something to do with broadband not being enough for the computer or something like that. I have the same problem.

Given the symptoms, I don't think it has anything to do with your broadband connection. I believe the most likely culprits (from most likely to least likely) are:

1. A Windows operating system problem related to the sleep/hibernate functions - could be as simple as the computer being set to hibernate or shut down after a certain period - check your energy saver settings

2. A hardware problem - could be a lot of things, bad power supply is one that comes to mind, or the PCs OK but the display has a driver problem that requires reinitializing to make it go away; hardware problems increase in probability the older the machine though they can show up in new machines, too

3. A virus - I've not heard of one that makes your PC shut down, but it's possible there's one out there; make sure you run virus scans regularly and practice safe computing

Is your PC under warranty? If so, you might take it into an authorized dealer & have someone take a look at it.
