I will assume its inside the distributor cap. Unscrew the three screws holding the cap on, pull it straight away from the disributor, if the plug wires are too short to allow a straight pull away, then pull the wires from the spark plugs, not from the cap, this will prevent mixing them up on reinstallation. There is a carbon button inside and it breaks easy so be careful on reinstallation also.

Some rotors are held on with a phillips head screw or a hex head bolt, either way you may need to bump the motor over really quick to get the screw to face the correct direction to gain access to it for removal and sometimes the screw type is really stuck bad. The screw is near the base of the rotor, not on the top. (Some rotors just pull off also, no screw) Pull the rotor off the distributor shaft then pull the black plastic piece out that covers all the guts of the distributor.

If you have your new coil in your hand then you will see it there, remove the two very small screws holding on the power wires, do not drop them and if you do loose one you MUST get one the same length to put back in or you will ruin your new coil if the screw is too long. There are two more regular sized mounting phillips screws to remove. Swap out the coil and reverse procedure. Don't overtighten the tiny screws but make them pretty snug.

Does this description fit your model.
