Polygamy All Over the Place
From the desk of Paul Belien on Wed, 2005-11-16 21:07

The riots in France have made the world suddenly aware of a reality which city dwellers in Europe have known for some years: that there are no-go areas surrounding almost every major European town. These have become virtually self-ruling enclaves, abandoned by European authorities and police. A case in point is the Swedish town of Malmö, which is said to be unique because creeping anarchy has spread to almost the entire town.

Another thing which many people have known, but which has never been said aloud, is the spread of polygamy across Western Europe. Since yesterday, when French officials, including one government minister, cited polygamy as a possible factor of social breakdown in the suburbs, the media are suddenly devoting attention to a phenomenon which many people have known existed for years: Muslim immigrants going home for a holiday and returning with an additional wife.

Only last week (November 11) the Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten reported statements from Norway’s Directorate of Immigration (UDI) that there are an increasing number of men with multiple wives in Norway. “The reason is married men travel to countries where polygamy is legal and then add a wife.” Though polygamy is illegal in Norway, “this is something that Norwegian authorities cannot prevent,” said UDI spokesman Karl Erik Sjøholt. The question is whether the authorities should encourage it. The Islamic Cultural Center Norway (ICCN), an immigrant organisation subsidised by the Norwegian state, advises Muslims in Norway to take several wives because polygamy “is advantageous and ought to be practiced where conditions lend themselves to such practice.”

So far men have been allowed to bring their second wives into Norway. As the strain on the Norwegian welfare system increases, the Immigration Directorate suggests that the government should prevent married men who marry again without first divorcing in Norway from bringing their new wives to Norway.

Muslim immigrants who come to live in Europe often bring along their extended families, which may contain two, three and even four wives, and all of their offspring. Such families average up to 15 people, which means that up to half a million of France’s 60 million inhabitants, a significant section of the entire population, may be living in polygamous families. There are also hundreds of polygamous families in Britain, Germany, the Netherlands and other countries. According to Jacques Kossowki, the mayor of Courbevoie in France and an MP, “It’s a disaster. We don’t even have housing big enough for these people.”

In Britain legislators have chosen to adopt a liberal approach, amending existing laws in an effort to accommodate the needs of the local Muslim population. Last year the Sunday Times reported that Muslim second wives will get a tax break: “The Inland Revenue is considering recognising polygamy for some religious groups for tax purposes. Officials have agreed to examine ‘family friendly’ representations from Muslims who take up to four wives under sharia, the laws derived from the Koran. Existing rules allow only one wife for inheritance tax purposes. The Revenue has been asked to relax this so that a husband’s estate can be divided tax-free between several wives.”

The stealth with which the European authorities have for almost two decades now been accepting polygamy is a clear indication that Western Europe has lost all faith in its own traditional values, such as monogamous marriage. This also became clear recently when the Dutch authorities refused to annul the civil union which a Dutch man concluded with two women before a notary. The latter is morally distinct from the traditional polygamy of the Muslims because the two women involved also engage in a lesbian relationship (their “husband” said his wives were bisexual), making the case not only a trio-marriage but a homosexual relationship as well. At least the Muslims have never taken decadence that far. How can societies that accept such situations object to Muslims with multiple wives?

In fact the Muslims are not to blame for the collapse of Western Europe’s civilisation. The latter’s problems are entirely self-inflicted. The reality that the old continent is gradually, but ever more rapidly, becoming Islamic is a consequence of the suicide of its once Christian and now hedonist and secular culture. The attitude that everyone can do whatever he or she likes so long as it makes them happy, is leading us directly to Eurabia. However, those who care about happiness may find consolation in the words of Philander Johnson: “Cheer up, the worst is yet to come.”[/quote]

Gosh, could this also be one of the reasons France and Germany stayed out of officially waring against Iraq? I live in Germany and the feeling here is 'if we leave them alone, we'll be safe'. Sorry, but they did not learn the lesson of past 'sleepers' and nobody is safe anymore. This is just my opinion, but I'm locking my doors and windows at night and waiting for what is inevitable.

Hi,
I remember speaking to someone form Germany right after 911 and she told me the same, that the Muslims will not bother Germany,or basically Europe. That terrorism was a US problem only.I told her it was just a matter of time. The you know what is going to hit the fan soon in Europe as more and more non Muslims rise up to Muslims who as usual want to force their way of life on everyone.
I believe that Germany in one European country who will not cower to Islam.

Look at this, not far from you...

Thanks, I added the link to check out later. You can mark my words, there will be a civil war here sooner or later, and the proverbial stuff will hit the fan. The 'old' German will follow their political leaders like cows with bells, as for the last 50 years, but the youth is just boiling from within, filled with frustration, unemployment, and hate and ready for another Hitler. With the political structure torn as it is at present, the time is ripe, and it scares the crap out of me. I notice that most of my german neighbors are purchasing more firearms than they did within the last 10 years, and it's not for hunting deer.

Those who appease the crocodile will simply be eaten last. ~Winston Churchill. If you think about it, those crocs are laying their eggs in 'nests' all over the world, even in one's own backyard. So again, no country is 'safe' anymore, not from within, or from outside threat.

As we can see no amount of appeasement saved France from the rioting muslims a few weeks ago. Over 25,000 cars were torched, several hundred city buses, Schools, Child day care centers, Churches, and Jewish Synagogues and Kosher businesses. There are starting to see what Thailand and the Philippines is already facing.

As for Germany, I suspect the survival instinct will eventually kick in. from my experience Germans are much to proud to take crap from anyone for very long. I read in the news that about a year ago, one of your TV news teams secretly taped sermons in the largest Mosque in all of Germany, where the cleric told his followers "Do not become European. They are dirty. Keep to the ways of allah and Europe will become Muslim". Of course, the Demographics of Europe suggest that the cleric is absolutely right.

Please let me correct you, these are maybe my mother's people, but NOT mine. My father and step-father were both Americans and my heart belongs to their country not this one. But the infestation, even in small towns is undeniable and the people are torn between new little Nazis and breakdown of all social structures they have been comfortably used to for the last 50 years with the USA's help, they need someone to blame it all on, as usual. All my other remaining relatives, including my daughter, and two brothers are American - I had no choice due to being born here out of wedlock - and really don't want to stay here, but can't afford the 'immigration' costs even though I had a visa before and also lived in the USA and Japan since my fathers were both in the Army, so where is the justice in that. There are rich Germans all around packing and immigrating out of here, and I'm stuck. Such is life.

Dear ExposingIslam,

I firmly agree that Europe has a real problem with Islamic invaders, but it is not the result of Europe's alleged "Secularist, live-and-let-live" worldview.

As proof, I give you the fact that the nations of Europe are filled with State-sponsored Christian Churches i.e. The Anglican Church of England, the Lutheran Church in Germany and the Scandinavian nations, and The Roman Catholic Vatican--a State unto itself. In fact, according to the late Oriana Fallaci, the Roman Catholic Church in Italy provides social services and jobs to the Muslim invaders from North Africa and Somalia.

Also, according to Ba'at Ye'or's book Eurabia: The Euro-Arab Axis, the mainline Catholic and Protestant Christian Churches, organizations, and educational institutions have been in full support of the agenda of the Euro-Arab Dialogue, the multi-national group that originated the term "Eurabia" and which supports the Islamization of Europe.

The Islamization of Europe is happening entirely on the watch of the Christian churches, and the Christian churches are feckless against it.

The problem exists because the Islamic invaders don't have a Secularist, live-and-let-live worldview. Moreover, I think that 62 years of the United States providing for Europe's defense has made Europe soft as well. Because of this, the nations of Europe tax themselves to death supporting Welfare States which draw immigrants, spend little on defense, and get the problems that they have today.

I say that what needs to be done to counteract this trend is to wean Europe off the U.S. defense nipple and tell them to give up the Welfare States and toughen up or die. This would give the Islamic invaders multiple superpowers to contend against and not just one.

Also, if anything, we need to spread Secularist and libertarian ideas to the peoples of the Islamic world, and come to the defense of persecuted ex-Muslim apostates wherever found.

Freedom-loving people of the West need to get behind people like Salman Rushdie, Ibn Warraq, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Wafa Sultan, and others who have exposed the atrocities and injustices in Islam and who reject it. Ex-Muslims are out there and they are getting more vocal all the time. Here for your thoughtful reading is the Web Site for the Secular Islam Summit and The St. Petersberg Declaration from earlier this year:

Fret not. It isn't time for a New Dark Ages yet, at least not as long as freedom-loving people speak out and act now!
