Hello,

I had my basement renovated recently (this year) and now have a problem with the shower pipes making loud noises.

When I turn on the hot water in the shower and let it run for approx 20-30 seconds, a loud noise emerges (reflects a fog horn). I can feel the vibration of the pipes.

Does anybody know what might be wrong? I already tried running the taps in the entire house for 3-5 min in case any air was trapped inside the pipes, but to no avail.
Appreciate any input, thanks!

Both of you! Before we can help we have to know what we're helping with.
We will need
1) the brand name of the valve.
2) the type, one handle or two knobs.
3) any other information that would be helpful. Back to you guys, Tom

This had just started at my house this morning. I have a delta, single handle faucet. It is just a shower, not a tub combo. I could feel the vibration in the hot water pipes, but all of the connections are good and pipe connectors are secured to the joists. I also tested the other faucets and it seems to be isolated to the shower.

This has also started happening to our shower. We just bought our house a few months ago. We thought first, if we didn't release the pin (turning water to shower head vs. tub) to relieve pressure... but now it happens every morning. We have a Moen on handle (pull out) tub/shower. There is a small pin you pull out below the handle for shower.

Turn the water off to the valve and open up the valve and diverter assembly. Remove any trash that you find. Now turn the water on for a moment to flush out the diverter. Reassemble and test. Better now? Tom

The same thing was happening to my bathroom sink. After the hot water was turned on and the water warmed up the pipes started making loud noises, and vibrate, then the water started to sputter when it came out.

To fix the issues All I did was fully open the hot water value that was connected to the sink. Seems is was not opened up all the way.
