View Full Version : Fridgidaire Dryer doesn't tumble. Lights work okay, it seems

If you have some time, could you help me with a problem with my Dryer?

Model number FEQ1442ES0 Fridgidaire bought two years ago.

Out of sheer frustration with incessant beeping by the dryer, I slammed the door and blew out the drum lamp. I replaced the drum lamp, so that's working again.

Now it seems that the lights are working fine, but when I press start, there's a tiny click on the front left portion of the top interior of the dryer (near the timer), but nothing happens... no drying, no tumbling...

I tested the thermal limiter and the ohm reading is 1.3 Ohms. What does that mean?

Do you think you might have an idea as to what it is that I tripped/broke to prevent the machine from working?

Sincerely,
histand

You may have broken the door switch, or if you were really angry you may have knocked the drum drive belt off. Good luck

Thank you parttime. I checked both the thermal limiter and the door switch for continuity, and they are both fine. I must've killed the timer in some way.
