I live in PA and paying child support to my ex. In my second marriage I have second child.
My friend told me that now I can pay less for a first kid. Is it true? Or just "wishful" thinking?

Wishful thinking. You chose to have a second child. If you couldn't afford it, you shouldn't have had it. I see no reason for a court to modify your support agreement.

Definite wishful thinking.
Sorry hun, but like ScottGem said, you chose to have both children and no court will lower your payments because you've had another

Your first child still needs to eat - second child does not change that.

You can request a modification based on the change in the number of your dependents. State laws vary but they could base your child support on a lower percentage of your income. You will need to review all the circumstance surrounding the modification so you might want to plug the numbers yourself prior to submitting a request. Good luck!

Don't know what State you are in but it's by Statute in NY - the number of other children, other expenses do not matter. You pay a certain % for one child, a certain % for 2 children and so forth.

Each state has their own laws but in MI you can submit a request, and it can change. Dependents do play a factor. Also, for a single individual paying CS they can withhold more than a married individual paying CS. You will need to look at the pay table (income, child involved, etc.) for the specific state.
