Hi, I was wondering what I would do, who I could ask and I found this site. My sister had a nice honey blonde color (h16 L'oreal) with lighter highlights... I had permed her hair almost a year ago and so the process made herhightlights even lighter. I kept dying her hair with the same color I mixed it with a 30 vol. developer. A few months ago she wanted to go red-violet (I have no experience with haircoloring) and for some stupid reason I thought I had to bleached her hair (Which was blonde with very light highlights and her natural hair color, [black]). I then proceeded to add the red-violet color mixed with a 20 vol. developer. If you understand what I mean you can already imagen the outcome... All kinds of purple and little red-violet. After applying red-violet a few times (few months) she then decided she really wants her hair honey blonde again... I colored her hair with h16 honey blonde and mixed it with a 30 vol. developer but I still have the same outcome, different shades of blonde and purple... I know that yellow neutralizes purple... but I'm just so lost... and feel so guilty because I did this to her... I'm now planning to use ColorZap Color Remover, or Effasol Foaming Color Remover to remove the uneven shades and unwanted color to then apply her honey blonde with 20 vol. developer and also Haircolor Essentials Post-Color Treatment or Ineral Hair fixer to bring her hair to a healthy condition... I know that we could just go to a hair salon and ask for professional help but I have had really bad experiences and in newark almost every stylist I have met doesn't know what they are doing (not every stylist, no offense). I'm afraid they are going to make it worse and she is too. Can anyone advice me what to do?
