Hi all I have a single handle American Standard faucet in my spare bathroom that is rarely used. When I went to turn it on the other day the pressure is very very low. I did manage to remove the shower head and turn on the water in hopes of flushing out the debris with no success. This faucet is only 6 years old and never really used since it's a spare bath. I was told by someone I can clean out the screen but when I take off the chrome cover plate and handle I have no idea what to do at this point. Please help. Chuck

Shut the water off to the valve and open it up. Remove the cartridge and check and clean the inlet ports. Now turn the water back on for a moment to flush out the supplies and valve body. You should have a strong stream coming out of the open valve body. If so, reassemble and test. If not, click on back. Good luck, Tom

Ok thanks, my question is how do I remove the valve body? Once its removed I should then turn the water back on to remove debris?
