I have a recorded conversation of someone indicating there is an illegal card game every year at his job. I know this person is a out of control gambler with bookies overseas. Should I report this to his Human Resources?

If it were me, I would stay out of this in every possible way and let the chips fall where they may. Unless you have absolute proof positive of this person's intents, just stay clear. My question to you - did you record this conversation? If so, did you record this with the other person's permission? I don't know where you live but in some places that is illegal itself.

Maybe it is just my experience being one of those whistleblowers and getting kicked in the keester for it. Someone else may have some other wisdom for you.

If the person has a gambling problem, they will go online, at the backroom of the local bar.

If you want to get this person fired I guess go ahead, but then you will need to explain to the police why you were recording this converstation, and the person can perhaps sue you, if they were not aware they were being recorded.

This person is my Best Friends husband. He has filed for divorce. But for years he has abused her, In front of friends, family & neighbors. His family is constantly call Children Protective Services on her. They have called CPS so many times they stop coming to the house they just call her lawyer and report to the attorney. They have never had a matrimonial bedroom, he has gone to court on a motion he filed. Stating that she is a drunk and should be taken out of the house and away from the kids. These are all lies!!
The other day he was out with their daughter and the child put a voice recorder in her bag. It must of went on by itself. It recorded the conversation he had about the gambling.
SHe has asked me what would I do and I just said I just would wait until I spoke to an attorney. She is afraid no one will believe this conversation was recorded purely by accident.
Actually, I would love to see him fried.

It's totally legal in Minnesota to tape a call or conversation if one of the parties envolved is aware of it, but I personally don't think he should get envo;ved

It's nice that you want to protect your best friend but any issues that your best friend is having with her husband are between her and her husband ; they don't concern you and it's really not your place to butt in.
