I went to a friend's apartment complex and decided to stay the night. Within a 12 hour period when I was there, my brand new $10,000 motorcycle was stolen from the parking lot inside the gates. This apartment complex was suppose to have properly functioning cameras and security gates, neither of which actually worked. Now, I want to sue the apartment complex for not having the security they said they had because if they did, the bike either wouldn't have been stolen in the first place or I would have at least had footage of the crime. But because of their lack of upkeep on security, the police have no evidence, witnesses, or leads and therefore have no case. So what kind of lawyer do I need for this kind of situation?

Hello V:
Just your regular trial lawyer. Call a few up. You'll learn a lot.

I have had this happen to me before and was told my an attorney that my insurance needs to cover the damage, The property was not responsible.
