OK so I did something really stupid a few months ago I was drunk and decided to set an old jeep on fire well when I got home my girlfriend asked me if I did anything stupid I said know. Being the type of person she is she knew I was lying right away she called me on it and got pissy so I told her. Stipid decision. Along with setting the car on fire anyway the next morning she callse me up "YOU F**KING IDIOT" turnso out I she just herd about it on the radio the car fire set a building on fire... well I left her and now I think she called the cops on me about it I got a call from a detective on Friday. Asking for me (she left a msg) wants me to call her. I'm prety shur its about this althogh it could also be about a public intoxication charge(75$) or a check that I put in my bank that was my check but I had no money another stupid mistake I was in dier need and I never put the money back in (post dated check) I totally frogot about it had a lot going on actuly I did put over half in I think I actuly just rememberd recently. It was only 30$ anyway. Back to the arson

If it is about this and lets say they call me into the station

How is this going to go down if my ex did call the cops

Say she did it anonomasly or she plans on testifieng

Should I get a lawyer.

I know for a fact that they have no fingerprints and no dna no foot prints but posibly on camera. But they don't have me on camera actuly setting it on fire just walking away after the fact.

I know I know I shouldn't try and lie but frankly if they don't have any evidence I have no plan on confessing. Now some of you probably don't like the idea of helping someone get away with something like this but the fact is normaly I wouldn't care but over the past week things have finally started to look up for me and I don't want this to happen when I feel this good about myself and my life (exluding said crim)

Here's my question

I'm assuming if they did get my name from my ex or someone she knows it was an annonamus call.

Now in my head I have this immage there going to start asking me questions about the car
There going to tell me that someone informed them that I was the one who set the car on fire. Now if they do are they going to lie to me and make me think that that person would testifie or would they tell me they got an annonomus tip... id assume they might ask for my prints which I plan to give them... god damn

I'm just curios how this is going to go down any help id be willing to answer any questions you have I know it was stupid and beleave me even if its not about what it is I've still learnd this whole thing has me strung up. I'm terified right now. I know I shouldn't justifie what I did but I was basically at a point in time in wich I didn't car about anything.

But yea if anyone could help me that would be great I want to be prepared for the worst

One more thing I live in canada but even if you live outside your exp and or knowlage would be apreaceated as well I'm prety shur a lot of the answers would be the same if your canada or US exc

Sorry... "do the crime, do the time." You will find that most here will not participate joining in on helping you. A lot of people have had hard times and do not cross the line as you have, that is why we have laws to begin with. By the way, was this your "old Jeep", probably not? You destroyed someone else's' property and in turn caused even more harm by walking away and letting it destroy someone's building. You are a dangerous person, thank God that your GF has some sense. What a jerk.

OK OK fair enough I see your point stringer... but out of curiosity what am I looking at here... haha and my ex doesn't have any sense you think she did this out of the goodness of her heart? But that's aside the point

You can be sued for all of the losses to the buiding, and can be looking from 1 to 15 years in jail depending on the state. Also I don't care if it is a littering ticket, you don't talk to the police without an attorney

Hello 51:

Well, I see that you are trying to break into jail. I'm sure you'll make it if you keep on trying...

But, if you want to avoid it THIS time, don't talk to the cops, and hire a lawyer.
