My dog ALWAYS wakes me up at exactly 7am EVERY morning.

I don't even have to set an alarm.

Well... today started daylight savings time. Which means she wakes me up at 6am.
Its also very annoying on the rare day I get to sleep in.

Any ideas about how to get her to sleep later?

If she is waking you up every day at exactly 7 AM, chances are something is giving her a clue it is 7 AM. Do you have a coffee maker on a timer or anything else? Try to track down anything that could be signaling her. Look at things she could see such as a light. It is also possible she has some hearing in the lower frequencies and could hear the rumble of your neighbor's garage door.

My dog did the same thing. I usually set the alarm for the time I want to get up. If the dog starts barking or crying before that I ignore him and when the alarm goes off I make a huge deal and give him a treat. I did this for about 1 month, now he always waits for the alarm. It is great because I can set it for anytime and he just waits for it. Good luck!

My dog does this too at 5 a.m. usually because he has to go to the bathroom... I let him outside and then he usually goes right back to sleep

Eva usually wakes me up once in the middle of the night... usually around 3 or 4 to go out, and then comes back to bed... but as soon as 6:45/7am (or now 5:45/6am) rolls around she is up and ready to go. I have been trying to identify anything that would que her as to what time it is, but there is nothing unless she can read the clock! Haha

She's deaf, so it can't be the noise of other people, and if it was, they would be doing stuff an hour later too... I guess she just has a clock set in her that that is what time she has to get up. She is always hungry in the morning, so I've tried feeding her late at night too, and that doesn't seem to make much difference either.

This morning I was able to get her to lay back in bed after she woke me up at 6 until about 7... but she barked and pounced on me every 5 minutes. So I didn't get much sleep.

I guess this is just my que that I should get up earlier and have a more productive morning!
