Troubleshooting Sears LT with a 17.5 2006 B&S Engine.Unit won't start. Isolated problem to fuel solenoid on bottom of carb. How is the solenoid wired into the system? Is there an interlock safety switch that might be the culprit?:confused:

Are you getting current to the fuel solenoid? How did you test the solenoid?

I have a sear B&S Lawn tractor. It starts but when I release the clutch or try to engage the blade, it dies.

Heard a clunk sound. Engine shut off & now the starter will not turn. Have replaced the battery & solenoid but the starter will turn. Where should I look to find the problem?

I have a Craftsman 15.5 HP lawn Tractor Model 917.270613. It will start when the brake is depressed, but when the brake is released or try to engage the mower blades the engine shuts off. What would casuse this problem?

I checked the seat safety switch and it meters OK

I have a 48" 25hp I believe the mod. # is 917.272260. It is a hydromatic drive. For a while it would not go forward for a couple of seconds then jump forward. Now it will only go in reverse and will not go forward, any ideas. Thanks Phil..

I am experiencing the same problem as other members,when I press in the clutch the engine starts,when I let off the clutch or engage the blades the engine shuts down on me. Anyone with some suggestions
