My female is pregnant and should have her puppies any day now... I was just wondering are there any signs that I need to watch for to know when she is going in labor.

The best thing you can do for your dog is to take her to the vet. Let the vet do a checkup and see how she is doing. He can tell you what to look for. Maybe you can get him to recommend a book for you. Also you need to have an emergency plan in case she has trouble giving birth.
It is so sad to be bringing more daschunds into this world, we have so many daschunds in shelters and rescues that deserve a home. Hopefully you will be kind enough to get her spayed once she has these babies.

This simply is not the place for a question like that. In fact, there isn't any good place to be asking basic questions like that after the dog is pregnant. There is no way you could have done the extensive work need to produce quality puppies without learning that and hundreds of other things you need to know.
For the sake of the puppies, and perhaps the mother too, get a book and read it, better yet, several books. When she whelps, sometimes skillful intervention can mean the difference between successful delivery and some or all of the puppies plus the mother dying.

I did take her to the vet and everything is fine! He said to watch for her to start nesting I just was kind of looking for about how many more days until she has the pups. Her milk is in and she is having some discharge, also she is swollen, I know it won't be long. I know all the steps to help her if I am needed and I also have an emergency plan if there is trouble. I have also checked all of the shelters in my area and there are no daschunds around I would have gladly taken them if there were and given them a good home! My 2 are like my other 2 kids. I love them as much as my children and would never want anything to happen to them!

Sorry but I think you misunderstood me. I have read many books and I know what is expected of me if I need to help her, and if I can't help her I have an emergency plan in place. I was just looking for someone with a better time line than what the books have told me! Thanks but I DO know what I am doing!
