Hi,

This is my 6th year in US on F1 visa and I received a competitve fellowship for 10 months (jan to Oct 07) for 45k paid by my univ in Texas for conducting my research at a federal office in Georgia (atlanta). Univ has refused to provide any tax docs as they are routing the money from the granting agency. I received pay checks from univ of Texas but I rented out apt in Georgia to conduct my research since jan 07. As of Nov 1 07 I am taking up a job in Georgia and I will receive W2 for Nov 07 and Dec 07.

Now given that situation what are my options?

Do I need to pay Georgia tax for all 12 months?
Am I FICA excempt or Will I need to pay SS and Medicare for all 12 months or just nov & dec?
How should I present my case to pay the tax? What category should I present the income as? Paystub identifies it as stipend.

A
