Ok so here's the whole scoop-

I was on Depo from October 2004-January 2007. When my husband and I set a date for our wedding we agreed to not have intercourse until we were married. I discontinued the Depo in January. I was regular 28 days since then.

In late July 26-30 I started Yasmin and stayed on it until about August 19. I started my period within 2 days and I have had a period every 2 weeks to the day since then. I took an ovulation test and it showed that I was ovulating right in the middle of the 14 days cycle.

The first two days of my five day period it is very light and light pink. Day 3/4 it is very thick, almost black and "sticky" (I know that's gross.. but I am trying to be accurate). Day 5 is very light again.

Three questions?
- Do I ovulate?
- Should I have a D&C done to clean the old blood out and will it affects my chance of getting pregnant, and will it make my cycles regular again?
- Will my cycles ever be regular again?

Please help, my husband and I are trying to get pregnant and it is very discouraging to have my period every two weeks!

You stopped the depo in January right? It can take up to 18 months for you to be able to ovulate properly after discontinuing the depo. That puts you at July 2008 for proper ovulation. Now, it may even be a little longer since you went from one form of birth control to another (Yaz)

Your cycle should not be 14 days, but more like 28 days with ovulation on or about the 14th day.

P.S. A D&C should only be done if your doctor recommends it. But you have to give your body time to get rid of all of the hormones that have been built up in your system for the past 3 years. It's going to take a while.

Go see your gyno and ask what is going on... I doubt she will recommend a D & C though... THat's a bit extreme

What could they recommend to make me regular and have "normal" blood?

As I'm not a gynocologist I don't know... But I would go and find out.

I freak out and run to the doctor every time something happens to me that I don't understand..

It is no big deal it just means that your body is working out all the bugs... It should be over soon enough...
