Hi.

My husband is on H1 and I've come to Charlotte, North Carolina with him on H4 from India in February 2007. I want to start working now and wanted to know how to go about applying for my H1. When is latest I can do that? Can I do it without some company sponsoring it? I'm an architect, and I do not know if I can get into a job without doing any kind of course here, in which case I may not be getting sponsored. I'm also planning to visit India this winter, in which case, can I apply sometime in feb 2008, n be able to start working by the mid of next year?

Thanks...
Aarthi
