Hi,

Many goan have applied for a portuguese passport. The consulate has been accepting applications without proper information regarding the documents required. They are even arrogant and refuse to answer questions. Thousands of goan have been cheated and are still waiting in hope to get their citizenship. Greedy lawyers have taken advantage of the suitation and are cheating more and more innocent people.

Some had applied several years back. At that time the consulate had not asked to bring their old original documents and had accepted the processing fees. Suddenly the rules have changed and goan have been duped by the Portuguese government. Can any action be taken against such frauds also the lawyers here in Goa, who are running a big racket.

Pl. let us know who we should approach or write to.

Dear Rose,

I am really sorry for what is happening in Goa.

I am a Portuguese immigration lawyer and I deal everyday with cases of Indian citizens that were born in the forme Portuguese State of India.

Everyday I hear more and more about the frauds of the lawyers in Goa and about the arrogant approach of the Portuguese Consulate in Goa.

I advise you to denounce this practice to the local authorities and to the Bar Association of India.
