I had sex the day before I was supposed to get my period and the condom broke. I still go my period the following day but I was wondering is it still possible that I am pregnant? I was going to take the EC pill but since I got my period I thought I didn't have to. Should I still take the EC pill? Thanks!

It's possible but unlikely as you probably don't ovulate right around the time you have your period. If you're really worried about it, still take the EC, but I would just wait until the next time your period is due.

Yes, it is possible you could have got pregnant. It takes about a week for the fertilized egg to make its way down the fallopian tubes to your uterus and burrow in the lining. This would have given you time to have your period, and miss next month.

It depends how long it has been since you had sex... most EC pills you can only take up to 72 hours later.

You are probably not pregnant, there is only 3 days in the month that a women can fall pregnant, this is 14 days from the date you start you period, if you are having sex around that time then yes you are very likely to fall pregnant but not if you having unprotected sex just before you are about to start your period as you are not ovulating then

Absolutely NOT true...

While most women ovulate 11-17 days after they start their period... that may not be the case with some women. Some women ovulate earlier, some later.
Not only can women ovulate at any time... in a fertile environment, sperm can live up to 5 days... thus a woman can have sex on a Mondy and not be ovulating, then she ovulates on let's say Thursday, and actually get pregnant Friday.

Although it's true that a woman can conceive any time during her cycle, it is only because she may ovulate any time during her cycle, and ovulation is a period of like 3-5 days where pregnancy can occur, (pregnancy can't just happen at any time any time, only during ovulation) The problem is that when you ovulate you don't know so you can be ovulating and get pregnant any time, it is just most likely toward the middle of your cycle as that's when most women ovulate.
