I have 4 input jacks on my VCR, 2 are audio in and out; 2 are video in and out.
My DVD player has the three input jacks; Left jack(coded white) and Right jack (coded red) and a yellow jack for the audio.
The connecting cord is the three jack on each end, a red, a white, and a yellow. No matter how I connect it up I only get sound, no picture.
Anybody help me?

You should not connect a VCR and DVD recorder into the same path to your television. In other words,

Your VCR and DVD recorder should be connected to your TV via separate inputs on the TV
