My dog, he's pretty old. And he's always been my puppy. You know? Just a bond. Well recently since school has started he has been losing A lot of weight. He's a german shepard, rottweiler mix and I can pick him up now. I asked my dad if he was feeding him and he said yes. So I was still worried so, every day after school (I try to remember) I feed him a bowl or two of food, well it seems like he is just losing weight. Its not animal abuse, I'm against that. So I don't know why. But its bad my 9 yr old dog is so skinny you can see and count his bones. Its bad, please please help me. We can't take him to the vet anyway because he has never had his shots, and also they would charge us for animal abuse. But were somewhat poor; so we don't have the money... so I don't know what to do. :(

Please manage to get him to the vet somehow. Read through the sticky at https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/dogs/information-articles-our-dogs-expert-labman-53153.html#post254171 The 12 year old dog I mention in it just turned 14 a week ago and is doing fine. Chances are, your 9 year old has some good years left, but only with good vet care.
