Hello everyone!

I just would like to hear your different opinion. Anything you can say about my weird menstrual cycle period. I can no longer determine my fertile period days if I'm to use the ovulation calculator (in the net) because sometimes my cycle is 33days or 35 days at most. But last mont it was the very late first day of menstruation I had. I was expecting it on the 35thday but it came out on the 39th. Then just now (the month after my 39days cycle), it's still the 32nd day and I'm already having brownish discharges. So I'm beginning to think that I'll be having soon my period earlier than 35days or 39days cyle. Also, this is just happening now - my urine is colored red (while I'm already having brownish discharges)but I don't have my mens yet. What do you think is happening? By the way it's almost a year now that we're trying to conceive.

Any spotting, such as the brown discharge and redness when you go to the bathroom is usually considered day 1 of your period.

You may have to use ovulation tests to determine when you should ovulate since your cycle length varies.

I would also suggest seeing your doctor... if it is almost a year of you trying to get pregnant with no luck, your doctor may be ready to step in now.

Thanks.

Actually I've already seen my doctor 3mos. Ago and had my sonogram. My OB said that the findings are okay but a little something is wrong in my ovulation. She gave me ideal dates to make contact w/my partner but if it would be unsuccessful I should go back to her on the very first day of my mens. Since she'll resort to fertility treatments. But I've learned that fertility treatmentst really costs much so my partner & I decided to wait and try to conceive the normal way.

I do calculate (using the ovulation calculator) my fertile days period but as I've said my cycle varies every month so I can't pinpoint when. Like just this period, I wasn't able to determine my fertile time because there was very few egg-white-like discharge unlike the past month. I think I'll buy ovulation tests kit now, it'll be my other resort.

My OB said that I have a low uterus. For women who have the uterus position like mine, Filipino folks usually advises having the uterus be moved upward physically by touching your lower abdomen. I don't know if this practice exists outside the Philippines. I did'nt resort to this because I'm afraid this would do damage and besides my OB didn't suggest doing this. I've learned that my uterus position is like my mother so I still have this confidence that I can really conceive. On the other hand, my mom got pregnant of me at the age of 23, maybe the age also is a factor. I'm 27 now by the way.

Other thing they advise is elevating your lower part after contact. That would prevent the waste of my man's discharge which what usually happens. They said it could be the factor.

Do you have health insurance?

Depending on what treatment your doctor is suggesting, not all are very expensive. For example, from charting my cycle my husband and I figured out I wasn't ovulating every month. My doctor wanted to do an x-ray with contrast test to see if my fallopian tubes were blocked. This was not covered by my insurance and it was an expensive test. I told her would she approve another form of treatment since this test was not covered. And she agreed. She prescribed me Clomid, a drug that will make me ovulate. I started it 3 days ago. The prescription was only $9.00 :)

If your doctor has already noticed a problem I would dicuss all options with him/her.
