I am not the expert here but will share some information until you get the pros input. If the piece says "printed in switzerland", I would say it is a print. If you could tell me what the series number says that would help. When an artist has prints made, they can do it different ways. They can do an open printing where they get 100 prints, 1,000 prints or even just five prints. The advantage to that is you don't have to have such a large storage area. You can fill orders as needed, having only the number of prints made that have been ordered. The series number and I can't say for sure without looking at it but I am thinking perhaps this artists made a limited number of that particular print. Once that number of prints are sold, there are no more prints to be made. That makes the print worth more. Is this piece framed with glass over it? Do you know if it is oils, pastels, watercolor, acrylic, etc. Just curious. Also, is the piece signed as in signed from the original work and then have a place where the artist signed the print. This may make the print, if it is a print, worth more than not having it signed. Good luck.
