I pierced my cartilage on both ears at the same time (bad idea), two days ago and I want to take one of them out. How long will it take for the hole to close up? How bad will scarring be? Thanks!

As it's cartilage, the cartilage will not entirely replace itself, I don't think, but the skin will grow back and you will barely be able to tell at all, if you continue cleaning, and no keloids or bumps develop. Scarring will be minimal if you take good care of it.

Charlotte is right, if you keep taking care of it as if there was jewelry still in it, the scarring should be minimal. Clean it twice a day with antibacterial soap. With no jewelry in it, it can take anywhere from 1-3 months to completely heal. Don't clean more than twice a day as you can still irritate it, even without jewelry, and you will increase your chances for scarring.
