Yes you should go to a salon, but there are other alternatives to getting out color other than using bleach. Depending on how light you want to go, you can use a color remover or do a bleach cap, which is shampooing the hair with some bleach, developer and shampoo. Or sometimes just pulling through some hilights, just a shade or two lighter.
