Hi there,

I am a french citizen who's been leaving in the united states for over 9 years.
My problem is that I have no social security, no green card, no driver license I CAN NOT DO ANYTHING LITTERALY.
I have not been able to pass in any program because I was not eligible for any of them.
I came here when I was 19 and I am almost 29 I do not know what to do?

Can somebody please help me, I am going nuts!!

I'm not positive , but I think that at ten years of living here you are a citizen. Then you can get those things.

Do you mean that by staying in the u.s. without papers at all I can be a u.s. citizen of the united states?

If you get a lawyer and can prove that you have lived here that long, they can retroactively grant you a green card.

John,

Do you happened to know, the name of this procedure or how I should go about with that matter?
Should I just hire a lawyer and tell him that I've been living in the states for almost 10 years and then therefore I am eligible.
I am not sure how to go about it!

With all due respect I do not think that you are aware of what you are talking about!!
Because you see, in order to apply for anything it needs to be a law approve by the congress and senate and then sign by the president of the united states; only then can I apply for anything.

My question for my nonexistent status, was for a law or something that I missed or did not know about concerning that matter.

Maybe somebody who is or was in the same situation, got through it somehow and I would like to know what was the process?

Help anybody
