Hey people, my problem is I have just got a new digi camera, I have put the pic's on to my p.c but when I try to up load them to profile pages they are usually too big, I have no idea how to make them smaller, also, what's a jpg pic an why can't I add my pic's to jpg profile pages

JPG is a jpeg file format. Your dig. Camera will take "big" sized photos for printing purposes. You can download them on your computer and open the file to downsize the photo (making the size of file smaller). You should be able to upload a jpg file to most any website/profile page. If not, when you downsize the photo and resave it... you change the file format (jpg, tiff and so on).

Most cameras come with some photo editing software that will allow you to downsize the stored photos and otherwise edit them.

Download a free software application <a href=http://www.irfanview.com>Irfanview available here. </a>
It allows you to resize your pics quite easily. You can drop and drag your original into it and under the "Image" tab in Irfanview, you can hit "Resize/Resample". I would recommend anything you want to use for a "profile pic" to be saved with a slightly different name so you don't lose your original, as Irfanview by default uses the image file name of whatever you drop or import into it.
