My daughter is a freshman in HS now and has her heart set on becoming a vet. I'm wondering what colleges would offer good undergraduate programs to help her get into Vet school (which I've heard is even more competitive than Med school)? We are in the Midwest.

Thanks!

Vet schools are VERY competitive. Congratulations to your daughter for wanting to follow her dream.

This question has been asked before and is in the Help Desk Archives.

Now for the exact college your daughter will want to attend? There are many very good colleges and universities out there offering a pre-vet curriculum. See this Google page and you will find many listed. That is something you and your daughter and the high school guuidance/career counselor can sit down and tlak about. Write some colleges or get on their website and ask ask ask for any information you might want.

Good luck to your daughter.

Virginia Tech has a great Vet program. While I was there my friend was a biology major and then got into the vet program. It's very intense.
