Hi.

I just changed everything in my toilet and now it's leaking from the new rubber valve, rubber washers, and new bolts. I do not have any cracks. I have not overtightened them but made sure they are tight.

Any suggestions? Should I just go buy a new rubber valve/washers and bolts?

Thanks.

Rubber valve? Do you mean the ballcock or what part. The bolts and washer are likely the bolts that hold the tank to the bowl. Did you install the washer so that they can only be seen by looking INSIDE the tank? Any other assembly would leak. Back to you.

The rubber piece that sort of connects to the pvc pipe out of the tank and rest on the back of the toilet itself. It sits under the flap between the three bolts.

OK I better understand, that's your flapper and the bolts are what I thought. You did not answer my question regarding where you placed the rubber washers. Take a look at my earlier question to insure they are in the correct sequence. The flapper is held with a larger plastic nut and a fat cone shaped washer. The bolts need to be tightened to the point of making the washers start to distort. Not seeing what you have done on the install you eother need to tighten the bolts more or you may have installed a washer in the wrong sequence. Double check your work and the instruction sheet and then come back here with your results.
