This is not a question, but a statement, about our government,
I don't understand how our own government can turn they're backs on there own people,
There are SO many people in the US today, that are hard working with family's and there childern need health care,
I have a 18 year old child that is on SSI,plus get's med help, he can not take care of his self as far as working a 40 hour week job that will pay him well and have the health care plan for him.
Now this is what I don't understand, our government just sent money over seas, WHY?
The usa are letting people in OUR country that are NOT BORN on US soil, but giving them what OUR on people here need.
And they are getting everything, from houseing to health care, and this isn't right or fair, we all pay taxes in this country, and were our are tax dollars going? To people that are not born here, that have come over here, that are not american,
I want to start my own business, but I can't cause someone from another country has come over here and has taken the money that I need to help MY family, they pay NO taxes, there is something bad wrong with this, and I don't understand how the government can go to church on Sunday with they're head up high.
Our troops DO NOT need to be over seas fighting a war, they need to be here on their on soil, guarding our own shores,
People that are not born on us soil come here and get the help, but is the role was turned around and we went over to they're country, we would not get the help, they would just put us in jail, kill us, or who knows what.
So what can we do? There is notthing that anyone can do, cause if we the people were to try and do something about it, we would be put in jail,
And this is very sad, but who is suffering? THE CHILDERN OF THE USA!

Umm, your 18 yo son is on SSI, according to your statement. Where is that coming from? And you say he receives Med help.. Again, who pays for that?
Right now, the US Gov't has many irons in the fire, covering issues here and overseas that the outcome of which has implications everywhere.
By confronting tyranny and terrorism abroad, serves to keep it OFF our borders and away from our shores. In my mind, I'd still rather see that battles waged in Karbala instead of Kentucky. Does that seem selfish? I don't think so.
It does sometimes seem that others who are new here get the bennies we would like to have. It's my understanding that many times, the programs are offered but we don't know of them and therefore don't apply for them. Shame on those of us that don't, but not shame to those who do.
Now, I'm definitely not saying I agree with where every tax dollar goes... NO WAY! But some of it is used to further our philanthropy abroad, with the hopes that those peoples will like us better, with the hopes that they will support us at their level, with the hopes that we can rest better in our homes.
That's looking at the bigger picture. I hope this helps.

There is no way to prove to someone who thinks that poor people deserve to die if they cannot make enough to live on in a free market that they are wrong.

I was talking to a Canadian client recently about how their dollar is now worth more than the US dollar. He recalled that it also happened in 1967, in the Vietnam war era. Ironic? I sympathize with your personal situation. We have many financial abuses that effect the hard working individual and I agree that sometimes our government does not focus attention where it should, starting with home. I've notice a trend in that large corporations appear to be the reflection of what the government fostered. For example, I recall in Las Vegas, after 9/11, the large corporations had huge lay-offs, actually leading the nation since we are a tourist driven industry. Should had the corporations laid-off so many or should they had kept people employed and the Senior Executives stepped up and reduced their bonuses and not pledged so much money into the disaster stricken NYC? Personally I think they could had kept everyone employed and still sent the money, but that's not the way some greedy Corporations function.

OK. Well I'm not sure if you're bringing up the issue of Section Eight housing for the poverty needy or the recent boom in ARMS that effected so many into foreclosures. I believe the latter is the borrowers burden and responsibility to understand the consequence of signed contracts and to be cautious of legalized crooks making fast sales. As far as the government officials and church attendance, well, I don't think they are all hypocrites, but we certainly have our share.
BTW, if you have not yet, please see if you qualify for a small business loan.

In my opinion I disagree with the Bush Admin for how they went about dragging us into the region. Initially I would had used more Air-power and made parking lots of Iraqi government buildings, rather than sending more troops. However, concerning domestic policy, our need for reform long preceded the current war. The war itself, like all wars, just complicated matters.

I am sorry about your son's situation.
However, you stated that he gets SSI and that he gets "Med help" (not sure what that is). Where do those sources of aid come from? Seems to me that they come from the government.
Furthermore, I am assuming that since your son is still alive, despite whatever condition her is suffering from, he must be receiving some form of medical care. Where is that coming from?
I have said it before, and I will say it again. Your son is not without health care, he is merely without health INSURANCE. The care is there. It is accessible. There is a safety net in place.
Now... as for money being sent overseas, I certainly don't agree with how every tax dollar is being spent. However, there are indeed some legitimate uses for some money being sent overseas. That money is used for:
1) helping stop poverty in foreign countries... people who don't get SSI or "med help" or medical care of any sort.
2) helping protect THIS COUNTRY against attack from foreign groups bent on our destruction, BECAUSE we have so much and are able to help our people in ways that THEY cannot.
On the topic of illegal aliens getting the same level of benefits as citizens and legal residents, I happen to agree with you. That's just plain wrong. There is no reason that a law-breaking illegal alien should be getting the SSI that your son needs, the med help your son needs, and the medical care your son needs. What they get is what your son is NOT getting, and that simply isn't fair. That is why I support strong border security, enforcement of immigration laws and employment laws and disagree with Bush on the topic of illegal immigration.
