I have a 5 year old daughter and my husband and I have been trying for number two as well...

Were you recently on birth control? If so, you need to give time for them to clear your system... like if you were on the Depo injection, that can take up to 18 months to get out of your system.

Do you have regular periods?

Visit your doctor and let them know you are trying to get pregnant. They should do a pre-pregnancy workup, including bloodwork to make sure all your hormones are at the right levels to achieve pregnancy.

I know you said you were using ovulation calculators... some of those try to give you an EXACT DATE that you should ovulate, I use this one... it gives you a window of ovulation so you don't miss it. It can guide you as to when to start using your ovulation tests.
American Pregnancy Association : Getting Pregnant: Ovulation Calendar (http://www.americanpregnancy.org/gettingpregnant/ovulationcalendar.html?menstrual=07%2F28%2F2007&cycle=)

Now keep in mind, ovulation predictor kits do just that... they PREDICT when you should ovulate. They do not tell you that you did in fact release an egg. If you are tracking your cycle and ovulation, you can add to that by tracking your basal body tempature (BBT). Bascially your waking temp remains fairly constant. When you ovulate, progesterone is released. Progesterone is a heat-emitting hormone that causing your waking temp to rise. Tracking your temp however does not work alone, because by the time your temp rises it is usually too late (as far as trying to have intercourse to get pregnant). You egg starts to disengrate at about 12 hours if unfertilized. BUT... if you get a positive LH surge you know that you should ovulate, and if you are tracking your BBT then you will know if you did in fact ovulate... your temp will remain high until the progesterone goes back to normal (around days 15-18 post ovulation), at which time you get your period. If it remains high through day 18 post ovulation you can be almost certain (without even taking a pregnancy test) that you are pregnant, and your temp will remain high throughout your pregnancy. You can "google" BBT for more information.

I was using ovulation kits alone, and not getting pregnant. So I added in the BBT tracking, and with that my husband and I realized after tracking for awhile, that although I would get a positive LH surge, I did ovulate every month!
Here is the chart I use. In the "comment" field I record what the results of my ovulation test were.

All these methods are also helpful to your doctor, if you continue to have trouble getting pregnant. I took mine into my OBGYN and she was thrilled, because she knew that there was a problem just by looking at the charting. So she is starting me on Clomid to make me ovulate.

Just as an added tip as you seem to be keeping good track of your cycle, I buy all my ovulation strips at Early Pregnancy Tests and Ovulation Predictor Kits for Home Use (http://www.early-pregnancy-tests.com). They are MUCH MUCH cheaper than the store and work just the same. They come in great combo packs with pregnancy tests too!

If you are into reading up on your fertility, I would also highly recommend the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Tone Weschler. I have it, and it is an awesome resource! It tells you many ways to be able to tell, by your own body signs, when you are most fertile, among other things. I got it on Ebay for pretty cheap... it was highly recommended to me and I couldn't be happier that I got it!

Good luck!

My husband and I are also trying for our second child. Im guessing its from the recent birth control I was on before hand due to with our first child it took us a month after I go the bar out of my arm to fall pregnant. . After my first child I have the marigna, which fell out after 5 months, and had one injection after that, we have been trying since November so 3 months now nothing has happened so far.. I would suggest going to the doctors. AS I'm thinking I should too. :)
Good luck.
