I have just purchased a new home and I'm refinishing all the rooms with new sheetrock, flooring etc. I would like to replace the baseboard heating because the fins are all bent up and the covers have many layers of paint on them. My question is how do I release the water from the system so I can sweat new baseboards? I have a two zone heating system.
Thanks

If the boiler is in the basement that is where you want to go to drain the boiler. You might have to open a few vents that are located on the base boards to allow air to get into the system.
