Think hy heat and ac are running at the same time, I hooked this wire up to labeled wire connector on thermostat. I have RTH7400 model thermostat I just installed... need help

Can you tell us what color wires you have and where you connected these wires on your thermostat and if you have a heat pump. Thanks
