I just got puppy from a litter of only two. The first evening we got him he
Was running around and exploring his new surroundings. The last two days
He has not wanted to eat and only sits in one place. He has been vomiting
A clear foamy liquid least one time every hour. His poop is liquid and clear
As well. After he vomits he goes straight to his bowl to drink water.

What should I do? We called the person who gave us the dog and she said it
Might be separation anxiety because the dog was fine when we picked him up.
Could that be a possibility? What do I do?

You need to get him to a vet asap. The breeder doesn't know what she is talking about. Separation anxiety will not cause vomiting every hour and that kind of poop problem. Puppies are prone to Parvo virus which can kill them. I am not stating that this is what he has, but due to that fact, and other viruses that can cause this kind of reaction in a puppy, I wouldn't wait it out and hope it gets better. A vet's attention is in order now.

I have two chihuiahua's that were coughing up some foamy liquid and they both had tracheobronchitis... antibiotics were given and shots and they were fine... Im not sure if this is what your dog has, but it sounds similar to mine. I would definitely take your dog to the vet though.

janelle0507 agrees: Thank you very much. I took my pup to the vet and it is Parvo. I will be treating him at home. I have to wait it out from here.

I am glad that you were able to get him to the vet that quickly. I am very sorry that poor puppy has parvo. We have been seeing a rise in the number of cases being reported here. All you can do is follow the vets directions and hope for the best. I do hope you caught it in time and that he bounces back from this. You need to call the breeder and let her know what is going on, if you haven't done so already. Please keep us posted on how he is doing.

In Ruby's first post she said ''The breeder doesn't know what she is talking about. '' Cases like yours are part of the reason Ruby and I and others here are so negative toward breeders asking basic questions showing they are clueless.

I am surprised the vet is letting you treat the puppy at home. Usually it requires IV's.
