Help! I'm not so great at doing super sweet/romantic things for my husband. I really want to do something for him that he'll never forget. I've written the occasional poem, left a few quotes around for him to find, and little letters saying I love him - any ideas on what I could do?

Wrap yourself in saran wrap and meet him at the door after work. That would really grab his attention.

Lol, great idea. Never would have thought of something like that, although I have two small children I have to think about in a situation like that.

Well, the kids would not be around in a situation like that. Make it an entire romantic evening and get someone to take care of the kids for a few hours.

I like to schedule nights out of the house.
If you can get a babysitter for the evening, book a hotel room and pack a bag!

My husband once mentioned hearing about a hotel chain that featured private swimming pools. Low and behold, I found a non-chain hotel within a 40 min drive that had a room with its own private pool and garage. I hid a suitcase in the trunk of the car and told him I wanted to go check out a new bookstore. He hadn't the slightest clue so it was a nice time for both of us!

Er -

My wife and I went to a Sandals in Antigua for our 40th anniversary. We went for 5 days, stayed for twelve.

2 years later, we still talk about that trip as the best vacation ever. Also, I suggest to leave the children with mom or dad, either maternal or paternal or both.

Children aren't allowed at this Sandals. We just had the best and most relaxing time!
